The One Sensible Way to FREE Travel and Travel Writing!

Updated: Mar 28th, 2010

The travel industry is a $7 trillion dollar industry! As a travel writer, you have an advantage in the industry because you love to travel and write about it. You may as well earn FREE travel! Consider working for an online travel company that is also a “host agency” for home-based travel agents. Most companies will offer one of three types of positions: travel consultant, booking travel agents, or travel reservation specialists. Either way, you can earn good money and FREE travel. The bonus is that you will be a knowledgeable travel representative for all of those people you speak with daily.

Did you know that baby boomers are driving the market? Who knew! If you are not part of the baby boomer generation, you may want to do some “light” market research on them. It helps to know who and what your target market is before you go in for the sale!

Links to Opportunities

  1. Success From Home. A magazine that showcases part-time and full-time business opportunities.
  2. World Ventures.com and World Ventures.biz. This organization is becoming a leader in the leisure travel industry;they started in December 2005. The offer something called Dream Trips where members pay a fee and receive reduced travel rates; think Costco or Sam’s Club. I believe membership is up to 84,000 people! Nice!
  3. Entrepreneur.com. This website is packed with a plethora of information! Topics range from running a home-based business to resources to business oppirtunities. FYI: they have Freelance section; click on home-based biz (left hand side) and scroll down!

Start selling travel today, enjoy FREE travel tomorrow and write about it!
