Can you recommend any writing groups or tell me where I can find groups?

You can find writing groups on Yahoo!, Google Groups, MySpace, and Facebook. I did not see any specific "travel writing" groups on MySpace, but you could find a "general" writing group. Facebook has a better selection of groups.
On Facebook, check out Travel Writers Worldwide, I Wanna Travel the World, SATW (Society of American Travel Writers), and International Food, Wine, and Travel Writers Association. FYI -- Travel-Writers-Exchange.com is on Facebook and MySpace so go ahead and "friend" us
