I think everyone who uses iPhone travel apps would have a different opionion - for me, it's Tripit.

Don't have an iPhone so I'm not sure what apps there are for them. However, if you have a Droid, check out http://www.pcworld.com/article/181630/verizons_droid_10_apps_to_get_you_started.html for apps.
