I'm contemplating writing a few eBooks but am not sure how many chapters to include and how many pages they should be? I'd appreciate everyone's insight. Thanks!
What is the ideal number of pages for an eBook?

I think it depends on what sort of ebook you want to write. I am in the process of publishing an ebook that will also be available as POD, and is the lenght of a normal novel.
But I have heard that 'how-to' ebooks are in general not more than 60-80 pages and no doubt there are ebooks that are much shorter.Posted 1 year ago # -
I agree that "how-to-eBooks" are no more than 80 pages. You could write a longer eBook that's about 100 or more pages and then create "mini" eBooks from it that are no more than 20 pages. You could give some of those "mini eBooks" away for free and sell the larger book.

I have to agree with Dutchie - it really depends on your subject, and also it's price/value. I've downloaded some ebooks that are hundreds of pages, and some that are just a few dozen.
The ideal length is however many pages it takes to get your information across clearly and succinctly. My personal writing philosophy is that every word needs to earn its place on the page - people are very busy these days and no one has time to read fluff - they want value in whatever their reading (unless it's fiction or some sort of entertaining reading). So if you keep in mind brevity and clarity, your book will find its own ideal length.
