Is anyone using Google Wave? I've heard about it, but I'm not sure what it is. Some people say it's like Twitter with more features. I know you need an invite to use it. I'm curious to find out more about it and the reaction from the people.

Good question, I could use more information on Google Wave.

I just started using it myself, so I'm no expert, but it's not at all like Twitter. Really it's more like a mashup of email and instant messaging.
Messages are called "waves" and you can create, send, view, keep and organize them just like email, but the platforms is like a shared resource between users, but since it's an online collaboration (like Google Docs & Spreadsheets are), the transfer of waves (if you can actually call it a transfer) is 'real time' like instant messages.
Basically it's like a text discussion that can take place between two or more people on a shared client. A discussion between you and someone else is only private if neither of you invite anyone else in, but either of you could invite people in if you choose to, and then anyone else who joins in can invite others...
I can definitely see where it could become a huge thing for companies (large or small) and groups or organizations, or families.

A few weeks ago I did a review of a Google Wave extension (or 'application' for a more identifiable term) and thought it was pretty neat. I can easily see it becoming a great collaboration tool in the future for companies.
It's still a bit strange to use as a majority of the users, once they obtain access to it, just sit there and think "Okay, so now what?".
If anyone is looking for an invite, just head on over to Tourfolio.com and contact me. I have a few left.

Thanks for responding. I've been hearing pros and cons regarding Google Wave. They are probably still working the "bugs" out.
