I would like to get others opinions on banner ads. What's better the smaller 125x125 ads or the skyscraper ads? I would like visitors to read my blog and purchase at the same time. But, I would like to avoid "overwhelming" them with ads. Some people are over the top and put ads all over their blog. Total turn-off...

You may want to do a combination of small and large ads. Do not go overboard with ads because this will deter people from visiting your websites.
Unfortunately, some of the ads that are from CJ or LinkShare are not that great as far as how they are written, just my opinion. I question "the call to action" which is heavily emphasized by experienced marketers like the people at One Coach. Test different ads out and analyze the results. Good luck!
