I have read somewhere that it is posible to 'register with google' so that it is 'easier for people to find my site'.
I was wondering if this is true.
Is it possible to register with google and if yes, why isn't it mentioned anywhere?
I'm a bit confused about this...

Rebecca's link is a good one for most websites, but if you use WordPress, it isn't necessary to register your URL....
The reason is that Wordpress "pings" the search engines via its built-in pinging every time you publish a post - so Google and the others will find you from that.
If you've already registered your URL it can't hurt, but you don't need to worry about that if you haven't.

I didn't know wordpress did that automatically. Good to know.
I did register my URL this afternoon and got a google account as well. I had some fun surfing the different blogs in my genre (travel and history), so that I can start hanging out and socialise with other bloggers. Found some great one's.
Can't wait for my site to be finished and start blogging myself.
