Had an idea earlier about a new topic for this forum. Basically, everyone puts down their destinations/holidays for this year; where they want to go, when they want to go, etc.
I'll start things off; I plan on going to Norway in July for 3 weeks, and to Scotland (specifically Inverness) in June at some point, for a 'long weekend'. Needless to say I'm looking forward to these!
I would like to back to the UK -- England & Scotland. I would also like to visit Australia and New Zealand. I would like to go bunging jumping in Queenstown -- bunging jumping originated here.
My friend Carolyn is in Rio right now and celebrated carnival -- the real carnival. So far she's been to Argentina, Malaysia, Peru, and a few other countries. That's what happens when you quit your job and plan to become a citizen of Australia. She'll be heading there in a few more months.

I would like to go to India. I've always wanted to go to India and the movie "Slumdog Millionaire" just made me want to go even more. I'd probably go to Mumbai (formerly Bombay) and a few other cities. It's supposed to be the financial capital of India. It would be an experience in more ways than one.

BillieJean - I understand what you mean about the choices of the U.S; I watched a documentary by Stephen Fry where he travels to every state in the U.S. The diversity is mind-blowing!
Rebecca - Has your friend (Carolyn) been to Machu Picchu? It's an ambition of mine to go there and it's a very inspiring place to be.
Yep! Carolyn went to Machu Picchu a few months ago. She also went diving in Costa Rica. She got some great underwater shots.
Here's a tip from Carolyn: be careful with water-proof pants. She had her camera in a pocket and now it doesn't work.
Carolyn has a website -- I can't think of it right now. I emailed her, but I know she was still looking for WiFi connection in Rio.
