Does anyone have any samples of query letters they'd be willing to share? I have great ideas for travel writing articles but haven't heard back from editors; it's been six weeks. Is it a good idea to contact editors? What would you do? Many thanks...
More query letter tips please.

Hi Duchess
YES by all means you should contact any editor from whom you've not received a reply after 3 - 4 weeks (but FIRST be sure you've read their submission guidelines, which should give you a sense of how long they normally take to process and respond to submissions and queries).
If you send a follow-up inquiry, and still don't hear back after an additional 2 weeks, then you can feel free to shop your articles around elsewhere.

You'll find examples of query letters at http://www.therenegadewriter.com/. If the guidelines stipulate 6-weeks and that has passed, contact the editors again. If they don't get back to you, submit your articles to other publications.

Hope everyone had a great holiday! Thanks for the advice. I'll contact the editors. If I don't receive a response, I'll shop my articles to other publications.
