Any suggestions on taking notes when you travel. When I travel, I look forward to the places I'll see and the people I meet. Unfortunately, my note taking can be crude. Alas, I usually forget to bring my recorder (I know). Sometimes I end up writing on scrap pieces of paper. Ugh! I guess I better get organized in 2010

Hi Sarah - how interesting that you would ask that - I JUST saw a great post today at TheTravelersNotebook.com with advice on taking notes.....

There's also some good advice in the comments so be sure to read those.
I can't stress enough the importance of taking good notes and being organized while you're traveling - otherwise you'll have a tough time writing your travel articles later, as we all forget things, and you will too.
We've got a good guest post by Wendy Van Hatten coming soon that is about getting organized - be sure to watch for it!

When you travel bring with a recorder with you, a notebook, and pens. Bring your recorder and notebook with you when your walking around a city. Make sure to record your thoughts after you've attended a theater performance or festival. It's best to record information straight away so you don't forget.
