There are many affiliate/PPC "gurus" out there. How do you know which one is the best? Who has the best programs? These programs can cost anywhere from $300 to $997. The other option is to sign up for $30 or $97 per month for software/classes. Do they really work? Will my affiliate/PPC income increase? Help!
How do you decipher which affiliate/PPC softwares are the best?

Good question. There are so, so many people who have come out with their "latest and greatest" affiliate/PPC marketing softwares in the last year. There's CPA Ninja, StomperNet, and many others. PPC Classroom has even come up with a few more and they'll endorse others such as CPA Ninja and a few other ones because sometimes they "co-create" the softwares.
I think it comes down to how much you're willing to spend, is the product easy for YOU to use, what is the value that YOU will receive from the software, and how much time to you have to invest BEFORE you start seeing results from affiliate/PPC marketing.
I haven't taken the plunge and bought any affiliate/PPC marketing software. I do sign up for the free videos and newsletters. I don't know. You can sign up for a monthly subscription and test it out and then cancel, but what happens if you FORGET to cancel? You're stuck paying $37 or $97 per month for something that may not work for you. Just my opinion...Hope all of this information helps.

I think what it boils down to is this: What is your goal?
Almost all of the products being sold by these self-anointed "gurus" are designed to teach you how to be a super-affiliate for another company's product -- for example, if you like a particular brand of shoes and want to earn some revenue ("commission") for selling a lot of them, then the Affiliate marketing and PPC software or courses or "VIP forums" can help you learn how to do that - focus all your energy on selling that brand of shoes until you are earning a living from it. Most all of them teach the same things, and sadly many of them are rip-offs of information you can find free just by searching. Some of these "gurus" are constantly coming up with the latest, greatest thing to make you a lot of money -- and they cross-promote each other's products -- because once you discover that what you paid a lot of money for is just a lot of fluff, and in some cases fluff designed to sell you a more expensive ('next level up') product, you feel like you have so much invested and you're so close to learning the secret that you'll keep buying from them.
In addition, PPC (Pay Per Click) is simply where you pay to advertise on search engines and other sites to bring people to your site, and there is only ONE good reason to do that -- if you are making money off of a good percentage of your site visitors. If you're not, then why would you spend money to get them there? Super-Affiliates spend money on PPC because they make money on a high enough percentage of site visitors to be worth it, but again, they focus a lot of energy on their ads, their landing pages, and their reports. Is this what you want to do?
So really you should decide what your goal is......do you want to be a freelance travel writer? Or do you want to focus on selling someone else's products? My advice is to focus on what will make you happy -- what are you passionate about? Many people drop out of high-paying careers because they discovered that it wasn't fulfilling, and yet others seem to thrive in that type of super-competitive environment. Only you can decide what direction will make you most happy in the long run.
