Hey Everyone,
My name is Maria, I am Dutch, 40 years old and live in the Netherlands. I have spend a total of 7 years of my live living and working abroad, 4 years of those in the United Kingdom.
I have now returned to my hometown and the last 6 months I have been very busy writing a travel book about the adventures I had while working on containerships.
The book is nearly finished, so now starts my quest to find an agent/publisher.
While I was living in the UK I have written two local history books about York, which, due to a lack of publisher, I published myself.
In a long lost past I have studied construction engineering and specialised in architectural history. I have lately started a new course, which will allow me to work at the planning departments of the local government.
I have joined this forum, because I would like to talk to other travel writers about their experiences
