I just wanted to bring your attention to a new Travel Writing Competition!. Holiday Velvet, a global holiday apartment rental agency, is giving you the chance to show the cyber world your writing skills!
We are looking for original travel stories, essays, ‘best of’ lists and any type of prose that does not exceed 600 words in length. We will be scouting out an engaging style, solid information and stories that really transport us to your destination!.
First prize is a weekend for two in Barcelona at a Holiday Velvet apartment with dinner for two at one of the city’s top restaurants, a city tour and guide book to help you enjoy the vibrant, magical capital of Catalunya!
Entries will be judged by Vanessa de la Souza, director of Holiday Velvet and me, Suzanne Wales, Holiday Velvet’s content editor and a professional travel writer.
All short-listed entries will be published in our Travel Guides http://www.holiday-velvet.com/guide/ (Page Rank 4) with a link back to your website or blog in the credentials. This is a great way to drive quality traffic to your website and a very useful one-way link from a strong website.
