I have a widget called blogroll in my wordpress theme. What is a blogroll and do I need it?

A blogroll is a list of links to blogs that you choose to put on your blog. A blogroll is usually included in the blog's sidebar and it can be divided into categories.
It's up to you if you want to provide readers with links to other blogs/websites. It's not necessary to have them on your blog. However, you may find some useful links that you'd like to share with your readers.
