I may begin to use AWeber, but I'd like to stand out from the crowd. Just heard about a company that does "video emails." Sounds interesting and some companies do use it. Would like to know what other people think about video emails...Thanks!
What do you think about video email?

I personally don't like Video Emails ... I am an old-skool
text email guy with some use of HTML email (as long as the text from the HTML email is readable on my phone).I get a couple videos a week from people and generally I don't click because it simply takes too long to process the info vs. quickly scanning the text.
The only exception would be for promoting your site i.e. including a video in your newsletter or maybe blasting an email out to your friends saying "check out this awesome spot I am at" ... but then that is mostly just a link to a video any how.
Hope this helps

I have to agree with James (I guess that make me old-skool too
) I have so little time but I do try to keep up with the email newsletters I get - I definitely prefer the ones that get right to the point, and use HTML and graphics sparingly, if at all. I just need to digest the meat and get on with it.....BUT all that said if the newsletter included a VERY SHORT video, and it was clearly introduced (what's in the video and why I should watch it), then I MIGHT check out the video - if it's more than a minute or so, it had better be VERY valuable, and if you fool me once with a hook to watch a video that is nothing but fluff, you'll never again get me to click on one.....
SO I'd advise you to use them carefully, only for truly valuable stuff you want to share, and ask for feedback. If your readers aren't watching them, or you see subscriber counts go down, that will answer your question better than we can!
