Ezine Articles is the most popular article marketing site. GoArticle and ArticleCity are other article marketing sites that are popular. Some people use Affsphere because you can incorporate affiliate links within your articles.
You may want to start with two and then build from their. It can become overwhelming because there are so many article marketing sites. Hope this helped.

MemberJust posted a question so I figured I'd put my 2-cents in while I was here
I like Ezine Articles, so far I've been concentrating on them. I have a tendency to do a lot of things at once so I figured I'd concentrate on one article marketing site. I may give GoArticles a try. It looks like a great article marketing site. Just be aware that EACH site will have its OWN categories so you may have to put your article in the BEST category but NOT the exact category. Does this make sense.

You should definitely check out our page of Article Submission Sites - it's very comprehensive and has loads of great information (thanks to the excellent work done by Glenn Murray at ArticlePR.com).
Rebecca's point is a good one - start with a couple - 2 or 3, and see how they work for you, then go from there.
Also, it can't hurt to target a few of the smaller article marketing sites as well - with fewer authors to compete with, you may achieve higher ranking (expert author status) sooner, which can result in a featured listing at their site - a front page article on a smaller site can often work better for you than having your articles buried at larger sites......
