I think it would be interesting to write a different kind of travel writing such as articles about "themed" cruises. After all, people have themed weddings like Halloween, Hawaiian, beach, medieval, etc...What about themed cruises? The articles would be interesting and you'd have many angles. Has anyone been on a themed cruise? Please share...

It's a good idea, and I'm pretty certain that there are ALWAYS some sort of 'theme' cruise going on somewhere in the world to write about.......but I would still only encourage you to pursue that IF it's something you would really, really enjoy writing about.
When you write about what you love, it's easier to keep ideas flowing and enthusiasm for what you're writing. When you write about something only because you think that other people want to read it, you leave yourself open to burn-out, writers block, and other problems that will eventually make you want to quit.
But if you like it, go for it!

Begin researching cruise lines and find out if they have "themed" cruises. You may be surprised at what you find. I know for a fact that there are "spirituality" themed cruises where certain people like psychics, mediums, etc...take a bunch of people on a cruise. They will have lectures and get in touch with your loved ones! That would make an interesting travel article

MemberI love this idea! IN fact, BillieJean, please let me know if you don't want to pursue it because I would love to. I LOVE cruising, and have even been on one "theme" cruise before and can't wait to go on another.
I know for a fact that there are almost always some sort of theme group on almost every cruise, they are just typically a small percentage of the total passengers, and sometimes there are even more than one theme group going on a cruise at the same time.
I think if someone REALLY loves cruising this could be a great travel niche - so like I said, if you don't want it I sure do!!
