I was accepted into a Travel Writing Program however I am trying to figure out how to pay the project fee and my airfare. Are there any recommendations to find money out there?? Everything Ive found are for students and I have already graduated...... Im really excited about this opportunity and will be really bummed if I have to turn it down because my funds are low.
Please help.

I hate to be a buzzkill, because I love how excited and enthusiastic you are, but I'm not aware of any grants that would cover such a program. That doesn't mean there aren't any, but you'll have to really hunt to find them.
I would caution you to NOT spend a lot of money on a training program until you have tried a number of free to low-cost other solutions, such as many of the travel writing books we've reviewed on our site, or online courses such at Matador U. I've reviewed and even audited a number of courses, and many make big promises while offering only the same information that can be found in books. MatadorU is one of the few that offers in-depth editor feedback, ongoing assistance in the form of a strong user Forum, and access to paying market leads.
However, that said, I do know some people who have had good luck raising funds for various things using KickStarter.com, but that works best if you have a very large social media following you can call on to contribute a few dollars each.....and there's no guarantee of course, but it's worth a shot.
