I was wondering if anyone has advice on road trips. I would like to drive across the U.S. but I'm not sure if it's better to drive or fly and rent a car. What do you think? Please share your road trip stories. Thanks!
Is it better to do a road trip across the U.S. or fly?

I say fly and rent a car but that's just me. Having completed a move, again, has taught me that if I'm going to do a road trip, I want to be comfortable. My ideal road trip would be renting or borrowing an RV and hitting the road

So much depends on how much time you have. For the last two years, we've driven from Milwaukee to Los Angeles and prefer it to flying.
You will definitely meet more interesting people and have a new appreciation for the size, beauty and diversity of the United States by driving.
In 2009, we made the trip in a van and stuck to an Irish-American Roadtrip theme. In 2010, we were traveling via RV and the trip was more about art and craft shows and our jewelry business.

I must say, bringing your house with you via an RV is an amazing experience!

I recommend a road trip. The U.S. is a very diverse country, and if you go by car, you have more of an opportunity to appreciate what it has to offer.

If you have the time, definitely do a road trip and remember, the journey is always the best part of any trip.
Whether you being on the east coast, the deep south or the Texas pandhandle, you will definitely awe-struck by the sights. I'm a history buff so I can find a little bit of history tucked away in any spot I find.
I hope you have a great trip.
