Hi, I came across Travel Writers Exchange through twitter a few weeks ago and have been lurking, reading, learning from all you guys and girls, so thank you for that!
Now that I have finally joined the forum I thought it might be a good time to introduce myself and my site, Man Tripping.
I have been passionate about travel for most of my life. I was lucky that my parents shared their passion with me at an early age and that I have had the opportunities - internationally and domestic that I have.
As a writer, I have experience writing for print publications such as Washington Post Express, Linux Magazine, and IT World, and GameRoom Magazine as well as online publications including a variety of computer games sites, washingtonpost.com (multiple Eppy award winning! Entertainment Guide), and various blogs.
I also do occasional radio interview and speaking gigs, talking about guys weekend ideas etc.
Just over a year ago, my wife started a site, Chick Vacations about women's travel so I started looking at travel as a niche to write about too. I discovered there really wasn't anything out there dedicated to guys travel and so Man Tripping was born!
Our site started out with a blog format, but have over the past few months expanded to be more community focused, attract other writers to share their stories etc.
We are still a small site, but growing rapidly - almost 1,000% since the beginning of the year.
In addition to writing, I also provide social media consulting and PR / marketing services both in the travel industry and other markets.
I look forward to getting to know more of you and I am ALWAYS looking for great ideas for places to go and things to do for Guys Weekends and Mancations.
