I was wondering if anyone has created an eBook from their travel articles. I suppose it could be done. You could also create an eBook from various blog posts as long as it's done in a cohesive manner. What are you're thoughts on this? Thanks for sharing...
How to create an eBook from travel articles?

If you have articles on "travel tips," gather them in one file and make sure they flow. Take our what doesn't belong in the eBook. You can do this with eBooks on your favorite destination. Gather your articles and blog posts to create an eBook. Good luck!

And then you could sell the ebook or give it away to people who sign up for your newsletter.
Do you just make a doc into a PDF file and voila, you have an ebook. Or do you actually publish it. Where do you recommend to publish an ebook?

Hi Stephen - welcome!
As for the format, it really depends on whether you're planning to password protect your ebook or not...or have self-checking for updates....If you're not planning anything as sophisticated as that, then the most common format is a simple PDF, since nearly everyone can open it easily, and embedded hyperlinks still work.....Otherwise, there is software out there that will add those layers, but I have yet to find a free version.
As to where to publish it, I'm assuming you mean beyond your own website? My suggestion is that if you're giving it away, upload it to your own server/site, but don't create a link to it FROM your site, just send subscribers the link to download it in an auto-response email.
If you're planning to sell it, you can still use the same method (except sending the email with a link only to those who have paid you), however, I encourage people to use an Affiliate Program such ClickBank (the second largest distributor of digital downloads, after Amazon) or eJunkies (smaller, but easy to use).....with this method you will have to give up some of what you earn (generally 50% goes to the affiliate, and some to the program network) BUT this way instead of selling a few dozen, you'll sell a few hundred or a few thousand, and (as they say) "make it up in volume".....
