I've been feeling a bit burned out. Does anyone have tips on how to revitalize your writing? I feel my writing is becoming ho-hum. Perhaps it's time for me to branch out into a new niche or find a new challenge.
How can you revitalize your writing?

Hi Sarah
Don't worry, this happens to all of us at one time or another. Sometimes it helps to just take a break. Go traveling without putting any pressure on yourself to write about it, just experience it.
Or don't go anywhere but take a break anyway and do something totally, completely different for a bit. If writing is in your soul, it will come back and start pestering you with ideas again.
Another thing that I find helps is to read. I take a break from writing and just read (I have a stack of books I want to read when I have time). Read something that really interests and inspires you. If you find yourself reading something that isn't making you FEEL something, toss it aside and pick up a new book.
Good luck!

I agree with Trisha, take a break from your writing. All work and no play is not fun. On the flip side, if you're still not feeling the love, it may be time to let go of your niche market. Letting go is not easy. If you're heart is not in it anymore, don't waste effort, time, money, and energy on something that you've lost interest in because it's not worth it. Move forward with something brand new.
