Had a discussion about travel writing with family and friends. Let's just say they are not on board with me trying to be a travel writer. They view it as a nice hobby. How can you convince others that travel writing pays? Should I even bother? It would be nice to have the support of family and friends.

Unfortunately, there will always be naysayers. Do what you want to do and ignore them. If they don't support you, find people who will. You can't please everyone!
