Just joined the site after a friend sent me a link to a YouTube video. I've been a full-time travel writer for about 20 years, and now getting more and more into writing for the web, with two of my own websites:
Pacific Coast Highway Travel
Greece Travel Secrets

Haven't done much with the 2nd one yet due to lack of time but the first has built up nicely and now averaging 400-500 visitors per day. I joined this website to hope to pick up tips and compare notes with people.

I hope you'll find this site useful - if you haven't already, you may want to read the Case Study we recently finished, to help a long-time traditional travel writer build a new travel blog using Wordpress - it has proven to be helpful to a number of other established writers as well as the newbies......

We always appreciate having experienced writers such as yourself in our forum - it's a good mix and folks here are really good about helping each other out, so I hope you'll stick around!

I left another travel writers' forum because some of the posters were so negative - abusive, even - so it's good to find another that seems to be more supportive.

Welcome to the forum, Mike! We are a friendly bunch and there seems to be a lot of knowledge about. Any questions I have (and that is quite often...) are soon answered.
I myself am a new blogger and found the case study Trisha mentioned very helpfull for setting up my blog.
