Cycling from England to Nepal sounds like an extraordinary feat (no pun intended)! You may want to do a Google search on people who have cycled long distances. Do you have a website? You can easily create a blog with WordPress.com and promote through Facebook, Twitter, etc...Ask people to join you on your cycling trip...You never know who'll sign up for the ride!

hi rebecca, thankyou for your comments, am open to all considerations, one idea is to break the journey down into legs ( country by country ) no website as yet , tis in early stage idea development, thought as a finale climbing mount everest, the cycle ride is to provide the fitness necessary for such a feat....... would like to draw in aspects of cultural diversity and issues relating to environmnet and politics etc, is this too wide??????

Climbing Mount Everest would be awesome! I think cultural diversity and politics can be combined together. When people speak about cultural diversity they usually "weave" politics into the mix.
On the other hand, you could solely focus cultural diversity or politics if you'd like. I'd choose the topic that you're more passionate about and will enjoy documenting through writing, videos, etc...
When you begin your blog, you could write about what it will take to cycle from England to Nepal, i.e., physical fitness level, money, how long the journey will take, etc...Give people enough information just in case "newbie" cyclists and travelers would like to join the fun! I may even consider it...you never know!

am thinking motivation, reasons for doing, historically we could consider development, i e that of the wheel etc, what interests me are people though, how do you think it is possible to condense a 15000 mile journey through as many states and countries with as much cultural diversity again( slight exaggeration im sure) ???? word, film, internet, the amount of potential variables relating to this in my mind are staggering, i do not have much experience in recording such detail, certainly not in a fashion that others will be able to follow, think i would have a propensity for too much info... this is why i have put this out....... my background is 23 yrs in the construction industry, repeatedly tired of fixed oppinions and equally fixed ideals about the way we should all live, especially when all around us is chaos.

Hi Ian
Your adventure sounds amazing.....I follow the blogs of a couple of other people who have/are attempting something very similar - you might want to check them out, read past posts, and maybe even get in touch with them for advice.....
You can get to both Tom and Andy's blogs from there - they started out together and at one point took different paths, although they still remain good friends...It's a good place to start.
Good luck!

You may consider getting sponsorship for your adventure. Contact local not-for-profits and corporations. It's true that some not-for-profits may have limited funds, but you may find a few that would like to sponsor you. It's worth a shot. There's a guy by the name of Brendon Burchard who's all about sponsorship.
