Hi Martha...I just wrote a brief post on writing an eBook, check it out. I'll be writing more on this topic. An eBook is easy to write. Usually people get stuck with picking a topic. Luckily, travel is a broad topic. Check out the post Travel Writer Won Publishing Contest with Travels to Africa eBook...Thanks for the question!

Ebooks are popular. I guess anything electronic is popular. Writing an eBook will take time. You may consider writing a thesis statement (1 or 2 sentences written that clarifies your topic). L8R

Make sure to research your topic...BTW, the most common format for an eBook is PDF. You could purchase software that would put together your eBook...

eBooks...There are many ideas "swirling" around in my head. It does take discipline to sit down and write an eBook, let alone any book. Sometimes I get an idea, begin to write with excitement, and then the "flame of passion" burns out. I'm working on that aspect as a writer. I know many writers who are like this; I wonder why that is. Interesting...

MetroCity1 -- I understand what you mean about the "passion" burning out. I'm like that. I think I have about five ideas for novels. I thought of a "new one" over the weekend. I managed to develop characters, plot (somewhat), and do research (good thing I like travel and history). Sometimes I think writing a "how-to" eBook or a more "technical" eBook is easier, but it's still writing. FWIW - They say if can write 500 words per day, your book will be written in no time. Just something to think about when you sit down to write.

Curly here,
Writing an eBook! I'm sure not to that point, yet. I hope I will be in the future. Right now, I'm just concentrating on travel writing in general.
