Ya know they say a "pictures is worth a 1,000 words." I'd like to start a "photography blog" versus the "written blog." I'd have some written words, but I'd like my photos to tell the story. I think it's a great concept. Would like some feedback from others.

Hi Jack! I just posted a question so I thought I'd add my 2-cents
I like the idea of a photography blog, it would be different. I think as long as you added some verbage it would intrigue people. Maybe you could sell you photos as well, kind of like iStock and all those other photography sites!

Hi Jack - I've seen a number of photo blogs that were done very well. One in particular I like regularly features a contest where you have to guess the location that the photo was taken at, with a prize offered.....it's a way to continually draw new visitors to your site, although you may want to keep the prize small until the site is earning enough to support nicer prizes, or find a relevant sponsor who is willing to foot the prizes in return for promotion.
I do agree with Angela - you do need enough verbiage for each post to inform and intrigue your audience - to get them to care about the photo or to tell the photo's story.......
Good luck - let us know how it turns out!
