Most eBooks are downloaded to Kindles and other devices like it. They have no pictures because they're usually books by your favorite authors. If you feel photos will complement your written material then include them.

But all that said I agree that it doesn't matter much to me - as the ebook reader - if there are any images or not.

Keeping in mind the reason that someone downloads an ebook (and more importantly, decides to purchase it if it's not free), which is for the information it contains, so I don't recommend getting too crazy with adding images. I suggest only adding what is necessary to illustrate your ebook's key points.

They will be in black&white, but so will be the picts in the hardcopy of the book.
