Hello Anna! I'm working to fill my blog pages with the healing practices found in Palm Springs California as well as the nurturing and reparative experiences of the Cahuilla Indian Nations; information previously learned (and possibly forgotten again), as it pertains to healing the mind, body, and spirit; Palm Springs style. Please let me know if this would be of interest. I have several blog entries in the can as I try to be consistent and post at least one every week. Greg

i m telling about some travel writer clubs:

The Itinerant Writers Club:-

The two main reasons for setting up this website were to meet other like-minded people and improve my writing skills. If you live in a house, flat, bungalow or palace – or anywhere in one place – the chances are somewhere not too far from you there will be a ‘creative writing group’ where you’ll be able to attend regular meetings and submit writing exercises for feedback. But what if you live on a boat, in a camper van or out of a backpack – or anywhere that never stays still? Where can you hone your skills in the company of other would-be writers if you’re a rolling stone?

The California Writers Club, Sacramento Branch’s monthly Writers Network’s breakfast meeting for September will feature Carmel L. Mooney.
Writing About Travel

Carmel L. Mooney is a travel writer, columnist, author and radio talk show host. Her titles include: “Money the Write Way” and “How to Break In or Survive and Thrive as a Travel Writer in the Current Economy.” Her bylines and photographs appear in national and international magazines and newspapers. She teaches seminars on writing and publishing at writers’ conferences and colleges throughout the country.

I've just launched a new website, http://www.lizcleere.com, specifically aimed at itinerant writers like me. If you're a rolling stone or are in a perpetual state of travel you might be interested in becoming part of this small group.

I've set it up so that a small band of people -- maximum 12 -- can get together to swap travel stories once a month and GIVE EACH OTHER CONSIDERED LITERARY CRITICISM. Like the creative writing groups you find in most towns, this on-line version will nurture and encourage its writers to improve.

There will be monthly assignments. All members will be required to write up to 500 words on a given theme, and to critique the previous month's work of the other eleven members. We will also have voluntary ad hoc assignments, and possibly guest posts and Q&A sessions.

The club is free to join. I've had to limit the size to twelve members as that is about the maximum number I can handle at the moment. We'll see how it progresses.

I've set a little competition for applicants to write 500 words on 'The Itinerant Writer' and to let me have a few words about themselves.

Mini biog: I live on a boat and am slowly sailing round the world. I write cruising stories (destination pieces)for Sailing Today, a national sailing magazine in the UK. I've had some success in writing competitions. I would like to break into mainstream travel writing and am hoping this club will be one small step for all its members to improve their writing skills.

To build upon Trisha Miller comment: You could always try to do a guest blogger exchange with some other high-profile travel blogs. This basically means that you would write about some topic on their site and they would do the same for yours. It is an easy way to get your name out there and get the right audience interested in your personality/writing style.
