Many thanks Rebecca and Trisha - the more my co-editor Mike and I travel, the more we realise that there are so many people who like to travel in this way, with amazing results...for us it's so much about new discovery, new people, trying a few broken phrases in a foreign language and discovering the world, even if that means it's in your own back yard! As I said in my original post, we're looking for new contributors all the time, so thanks very much for your enthusiastic response!

Very nice site - I really like the design! I know plenty of writers looking for a place to publish their travel articles, so I'll put the word out on the street!

I really love your site!!! I haven't found many travel sites that resonate with me with the exception of Brave New Traveler and Vagabonding (Rolff Potts) and a few others. Your site resonated with me because I like to do my own thing and create my own "travel package."

Travel packages are nice and can be refreshing, but when I travel I really like to experience the people and culture; find out what makes them "tick." I enjoy learning about the history of places and doing something crazy like bunging jumping or a zip line <img src="http://www.travel-writers-exchange.com/Forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" /> Kind of like getting my hands dirty with travel.

I'm all about "going my own way," I always have been like that. I think it's why I didn't get or like high school -- too much "having to fit in with everyone." I say be yourself who cares what others think.

Hi all, I (along with a colleague) have just started a niche travel (we're still trying to come up with something more original than that!) website, http://www.goyourownway.info, which is essentially a features-only site for anyone/everyone who has found a place that truly resonated with them.

It's really a hobby for now, but I would like to invite anyone with copy to get in touch if they would like a place to put it!

I would also welcome any comments - everyone in the world of travel has an opinion on how it should be written up - so I would like to get some feedback!

Thanks, Andy
