Thanks, Trisha. I will check out the links this week (I need to focus on my writing this weekend...) and will let you know if they were helpful.

I have used bits of HTML in my widgets and indeed copied it from a page in wordpress, but I did notice that this only seemed to work within my wordpress dashboard.
I know what you mean with clicking the 'view' menu etc. The problem for me might be to find the right bit of HTML to copy.
I will play around with it for a bit and let you know how I get along. <img src="http://www.travel-writers-exchange.com/Forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />

Hi Maria

Yes, FBML is the only way to add HTML to a Tab, so that you can insert pictures (like book covers) and styling (like bold and italics).

I did use it on another Facebook Page I manage, but it was quite a while ago since I set it up, and it's one of those things that you don't tend to remember after you do it......but I did find two online tutorial pages that looked really familiar so I think that they are what I used as a guide before:

http://www.hyperarts.com/blog/tutorial-facebook-pages-with-static-fbml-application/

http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/how-to-customize-your-facebook-page-using-static-fbml/

Also, if you're not familiar with using HTML, the easy way to add it to your new FBML Tab is to create the page in WordPress (but don't publish it, leave it as a Draft)......get it exactly how you want it with styling and images, etc., then Preview the post in your browser, then click on the "View" menu at the top of your browser bar, click on "Page Source" or "View Source" (depending on your browser), and scroll down through the HTML until you find the section you want for your Page.......copy the whole section and paste it into your FBML box and save it.

Let me know if you need more help tweaking it once you have it all in......I'm very good with HTML and probably help you with that part of it. <img src="http://www.travel-writers-exchange.com/Forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":-)" class="bb_smilies" />

Hey guys,

I recently found out that facebook now allows admins of fanpages to add custom tabs to the page.
After doing some research it worked out that creating a cuatom tab is done with FBML (at least, I think it is done with that...).
I have downloaded this app and now have a tab called FBML on my page. However, when I click on the tab it's empty and I have no idea how to proceed. If I click on the little pencil on the tab, I get two options. 'Tab options' which is unclickable and 'Delete Tab'.

Looks like I am doing something wrong. Is there someone here who knows more about it?
I like to have a custom tab, for my books.

Thanks,
Maria
